How the M forms on your palm

Open your dominant hand flat and look at the three major horizontal and diagonal lines. The heart line runs across the top of the palm. The head line runs across the middle. The life line arcs around the base of the thumb. When these three sit close enough together, their crossings form the two peaks and the valley of an M in the centre of the palm. That is the whole trick. There is no fourth line involved.

What the letter M actually means

Palmistry folklore reads the M as a person with a strong internal signal. Good instincts, quick reads on other people, a habit of noticing things before they get said out loud. Some old sources romanticise it as a sign of a person "marked for something". Most modern readers will not sell you that. Common misreadings of the M

The M gets confused with a few unrelated marks. It is not the same as the wealth or billionaire triangle, which is a small triangle formed between the head line and the fate line and lives in a different part of the palm. It is not the same as the mystic cross, which is a small X sitting between the heart line and the head line. It is also not the same as the star or the sun-line fork on the way to the ring finger.
